Maintaining vintage doll hair and clothing

I've been helping my aunt expand her collection of vintage dolls which are mostly from estate sales I guess, and I'm trying to establish a good maintenance routine because my aunt may be having a lot on her hands this period
The hair on several needs attention, and I'm also weary of damaging the original clothing when I want to clean them

What is the best approach to good regular maintenance? because I don't think my aunt had one

to clean hair you need to be careful. First, detangle with a fabric softener solution and comb it out, followed by air drying. Handle the hair with care to avoid damage, and always opt for gentle cleaning methods and air drying instead of heat

@miss_tique you need to make it a weekly habit to check the display environment. keep the dolls out of direct sunlight (which fades clothing and makes hair brittle) and away from high humidity areas cause it can cause mold spots on fabric and vinyl
for cleaning, use a soft, lightly damp cloth (water only) to gently wipe down the vinyl limbs and body to remove dust and hand oils

Also, rotating which dolls are out of display occasionally helps prevent sun and dust damage over time. Keeps the whole collection in better shape.
