Loose clamp on my doll stand

I have a wire doll stand with a metal waist clamp that fits into a black base. Lately, the clamp keeps popping out, it looks like the small metal part inside came loose.
I tried super glue and craft epoxy, but it still moves. This stand holds one of my older dolls, so I really would like to fix it. How to do it?

Okay, so take the clamp apart, give all the pieces a good cleaning, and then stick that metal piece back on with some really strong stuff like JB Weld or Loctite Plastic Bonder. Make sure it dries all the way before you put the clamp back together.

Super glue usually isn’t strong enough for that stress, try a tiny drop of metal epoxy or a two part steel reinforced epoxy, then clamp it tightly while it cures. If the sleeve is really loose, add a thin metal shim or wrap of aluminum foil inside before gluing
