Shoulder joint broke while posing anyone else experienced this?

So, my doll Christie broke. Her shoulder joint just snapped when I was posing her. I guess it's from being played with so much. It bummed me out more than I thought.

I'm waiting for the new parts and trying to leave her alone. Has this happened to any of you? How did you fix it and how did you feel about it? I'd love to read your stories and any advice.

I had something similar happen with my old fashion fever teresa, her knee joint cracked while I was redressing her. I just sat there holding the piece like, seriously? now?? I did a pin and epoxy fix until I found a donor body months later, waiting for parts is the worst part, honestly like you want to help but you've gotta be patient

@dollcraftqueen761 if the new part is just the joint peg, be careful extracting the broken piece! I used a tiny drill bit (the size of a paperclip) to bore a tiny pilot hole in the center of the broken peg, then twisted a small screw into it. The screw gave me something to pull on to get the old piece out

Yeah, it’s happened to me before and it always stings a bit, I fix breaks like that with a small pin and some strong adhesive to reinforce the joint, then let it cure completely before posing again
