I told my sister about the Dollfie drop, and she managed to grab the sunglasses while I was still fumbling with checkout. I thought the shoes would be the first to disappear, but the glasses were gone in minutes! Has anyone here had luck ordering through proxy services when the official store sells out?

I’ve had mixed results with proxy services for Dollfie items since it really depends on how fast the proxy can place the order and whether the store limits purchases. Services like Buyee or FromJapan can sometimes help if the item shows up on Yahoo Auctions or Mercari after the drop, but they usually cannot beat the rush on the official Volks store itself.

AFAIK, some collectors also use smaller proxy buyers who specialize in doll goods and are quicker to act, though fees can add up. If the sunglasses sold out that fast your best chance may be watching the resale sites through a proxy rather than expecting to catch them directly from Volks after the initial release.

gosh, I didn't get it either, they really have limited stock. I saw some dollfie sunglasses on ebay, but they're not the ones that I want. anyone here know where to get custom accessories for Dollfies?

At this point I'm leaning toward resolving by the next release window unless a reliable custom option surfaces sooner.

There's always the Epoch eyewear capsule toy series. I have a few, the glasses fit Dollfie Dream very well, and come in little glasses cases that can be used as a keyring.

Since I was originally looking for something that matches Volks quality, how do you find the quality on them? I'm trying to decide between hunting for the originals, commissioning a custom pair or trying a fun alternative like these.

Compared to the Volks glasses I own: Not as nice or detailed as the Miku glasses, comparable to Mash's, and far better than Mari's. Man, Volks really dropped the ball with Mari's glasses, they start cracking apart from just standard use.
