My Doll Collection

I've set up most of my Dollfie Dream collection in my office.

L-R: Natsuki, 20th anniversary Natsuki, D'Coord tan Natsuki, 2B, Leonine (DDH-09), KitKat, Kitty Kira.

Aoko, Amane, Alice, Vispodoll Asuka, Levy.

Back L-R: Gudako, Mash, Saber, Sakura.
Front: Ciel, Sadi, Saber Alter, Rin.

Tsukihi, Airy, Neris, Aya, Aoi, Kanu, Audrey, Kizuna.

Mirwen.

Louise, Kudo, Neon (customized Icon Serra). Rem's here, too.

Ranka, Snow Miku, Kokoro (rather hidden, she's a DDH-06 on DDdy, with a nine-tailed fox set), Fate, Lucy v1.

Haruhi, Kyonko, Nanami, Yui.

Yoko, Lucy v2, Ai (Aoi 2nd), Flare (DDH-07), Mari.

Last, but not least, Uzuki and ShibuRin.

I've already changed up some outfits, and will likely keep changing things around.

Wow, I mean WOW. That's a massive collection and they all look like they're brand new. How long did it take you to get all of them? I'm not even going to ask about how much it costed, I know it costed a lot

I started collecting Dollfie Dream back in 2009. It's hard to believe, but there are larger collections than mine. I got quite a few direct from Volks, so the cost wasn't too crazy.

Which one is your favorite? And are you looking into adding more or probably extending your collection with other dolls aside from Dollfie Dream?

Thanks! It's been a fun journey, so far. Natsuki is probably my fav, she tends to be the one going on vacations and such with me. As for expansion, I have a blank head I plan to get a custom face-up based on FFVII's Tifa, and a DDdy body for. Beyond that, I'm not really looking to get more dolls, but more clothes for them are likely. Although if Volks announces the right licensed DD...

I actually just dressed Haruhi up in a steampunk outfit the other day.

Mirwen is my elf princess. A friend of mine made some custom jewelry for her, including the headdress.

That's a great collection and they look like they just came from the box. How did you maintain it? And do you have any plans to keep them in a glass cabinet?

I don't do anything special. The curtains stay closed most of the time, and I have central air. I also don't have any pets right now. I'd need a few custom glass cabinets for all of them, which is too expensive, and I'd be opening them up at least once a week.

since 2009, I've got to give it to you, the commitment in collecting for 19 years and counting is remarkable

Those are the 1/3 size? I have only an off brand that looks like one of those. Luminar makes patterns for those size dolls and I want to try one.

Oh, there are bigger Dollfie Dream collections than mine... I know of a guy with over 200! While I do have a custom DD that I'm slowly working on, I don't see myself adding more dolls to my collection any time soon.

Yes, most of them are Volks Dollfie Dream 1/3 scale dolls. I've never sewn any doll clothes, myself.

200 dolls is really a number, at this point, he should probably have a dedicated room just for display because it seems like storage and maintenance alone would be a full time thing.
