Custom build MDD body or wait?

Quick question about building custom dolls! My sister is desperate for a semi white MDD body, but everything is sold out.
She can buy all the individual components for a decent price (under $400) and DIY it.
The compromise is that she can't find semi white arms, so she'd have to use a different color and cover them with a bodysuit.

Does anyone who builds these dolls think a slightly different arm color under clothes is a big deal? Or is it a must match situation?
So, is it better to settle or hold out? Give us advice guys!

I'd hold out. Volks will restock the MDD semi-white body. Well, the 2.0 version, the older DDF-3 body is out of production.

It's also worth watching for used MDDF-3 or MDDIII bodies in semi-white, as it's not uncommon to see some collectors upgrade their dolls to the newer body. I'd say stay away from the original MDD body, but that predates the semi-white skintone release.

You could get away with the mismatched arms if you really want to, using a bodysuit and long sleeves, but, again, Volks will restock this stuff, hopefully before Xmas. I personally couldn't take it for long, and would buy matching arms as soon as they came back in stock, effectively paying for them twice.

@brunette4nya I agree with holding out. That color difference, even under a bodysuit, will gnaw at her.
And what happens when she wants a cute sleeveless outfit? You'll have bought the arms twice. Wait for the official restock. Volks is usually pretty good about getting those high demand semi white bodies/parts back out there

Honestly, if the arms are mostly going to be under a bodysuit, most collectors wouldn’t sweat a slight color mismatch. It’s more about overall aesthetics when exposed, if she’s okay with a tiny difference peeking out, I’d say go for it rather than waiting indefinitely

Actually I agree with @pasty_eyes if she plans to keep the bodysuit on most of the time, mismatched arms really aren’t a big deal, plenty of customizers do that until parts restock. The only time it stands out is if she likes displaying them sleeveless or doing photoshoots with lighter clothing. I’d say go for the build now and swap the arms later; no sense letting a full setup sit in pieces

The real question is whether your sister plans to ever display or photograph with bare arms, she prolly has to think of that first and she also could just try to manage it and hold out till she finds
