Best way to fix frizzy doll wigs?

I recently got a secondhand doll with a synthetic wig that's super frizzy and uneven, not the cute waves I was hoping for. I've heard of people using heated spoons or even travel-sized curling brushes to smooth things out. Has anyone tried those?

I'm a bit careful about buying electric tools online. Are there any safe brands or methods you'd recommend for styling doll hair without damaging it? Would love to hear what's worked for you!

ah, the heated spoon method, this is absolutely a classic, but I never tried bcs I'm worried that I can't control the heat and end up damaging the wigs.
I usually just use the 'boil wash' method. It works wonders on stubborn frizz. You just pour hot (not boiling) water over the wig and let it dry. For styling waves, you can wrap the hair around a few straws or curlers, secure them, then pour the hot water over them. Once it dries, you'll have perfect, heat free waves

What kind of doll do you have? I'd do the same as what @frierens1s suggested.
The safest, most popular method is to boil water, let it cool for a second, then pour it over the wig while you brush the hair straight.
That will be great for smoothing frizz!
Then to get the waves back, you can use the same technique.
Just style the hair first, like braiding it or wrapping it around curlers, then secure it and dunk the whole thing in the hot water.
Let it fully cool and dry before undoing the style.
If you really want to use a tool, I'd skip the full-sized electronic ones, and instead go with a small, low-wattage tool.
Just use the low-heat setting and always test on a hidden strand first!!

I started collecting dolls last year and just got a vinyl one with a long wig that tangles easily. Have you tried this method on heat-resistant fibers like kanekalon or just regular synthetic? how long do you usually leave the braids in before undoing them for waves?
