Favorite doll restoration tools and tips

I’m starting to work on restoring a few vintage dolls and would love to hear what tools and techniques you recommend for cleaning and repair work.

For me, a few things make life easier when restoring dolls: a set of fine paintbrushes for touch-ups, small cotton swabs and soft cloths for cleaning, and really tiny screwdrivers or dental picks for getting into little crevices. I also like using gentle soap and water first before anything stronger, and when repainting, thin layers build up better than one thick one.

Also, clamps or clips can help hold parts while the glue dries. It just makes things way less frustrating. Mostly, patience is key. Rushing always leads to smudges or broken pieces.
